The Ralph Lauren Corporation will pay the US Feds an $882,000 penalty for violating the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act by bribing customs officials in Argentina.

The Brooklyn U.S. attorney’s office said officials of the famed clothing company greased government palms in the South American country from 2004 to 2009 so its high-end merchandise could clear customs without delay and often avoided inspections altogether.

Under the non-prosecution agreement, the company pledges to “address any deficiencies in its internal controls, compliance code, policies, and procedures” relating to anti-corruption laws, court papers state.

The 19-year-old suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings, who was seriously wounded and unable to speak, is awake and responding in writing to questions from authorities, according to Tweets by ABC and NBC news networks.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who is in the intensive care unit of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, is responding sporadically, the ABC news network reported on its Twitter feed.

NBC’s Pete Williams is also reporting Tsarnaev is writing answers to questions from law enforcement.

Tsarnaev is being treated for a gunshot in the mouth that exited the back of his neck, according to Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis, who was interviewed on CBS’ “60 Minutes.”

He also suffered a gunshot wound to the leg.

The hunt for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev ended Friday night when authorities captured the suspect wanted in connection to the bombing Monday at the Boston Marathon, according to the Boston Police Department.

Law enforcement officials in Watertown, Mass. responded to the site of reported gunfire around 7:00 p.m. — approximately one hour after lifting a lockdown on the area — where they found Tsarnaev, 19, hiding inside a small boat.

Police cornered the suspect, not far to the site of a shootout the previous night that killed his brother and supposed accomplice, Tamerlan Tsarnaev.

The streets of Watertown erupted in cheers as news came that the suspect had been captured alive, according to HuffPost reporters Christina Wilkie and Michael McLaughlin.

“I’m happy they caught him. Im happy he’s alive. I want to know why he did it,” said Jeannette Harvey, a Watertown resident who works at Massachusetts General Hospital in the trauma ward.

The violent manhunt unfolded one night after FBI Special Agent Richard DesLauriers vowed that the alleged bombers, first identified as “Suspect 1″ and “Suspect 2″ would be “brought to justice.“

A driver was hospitalized Thursday after a large sinkhole opened up in the middle of the street and swallowed three cars on Chicago’s South Side.

The injured man was driving when the road buckled and caved in at 9600 South Houston Avenue near the Chicago Skyway, Chicago Police Department spokesman Mike Sullivan told NBCChicago.com.

Two cars were inside the hole when fire crews arrived. A third car, which was parked, slid into the hole after first responders got to the scene. The sinkhole is the result of a water main that broke in the area and is gushing water, Tom LaPorte, a spokesman for the Water Department confirms.

LaPorte said intense rain could have aggravated the cast iron water main that dates back to 1915.

Apparently news of Lauryn Hill‘s tax struggle has her landlord nervous.

According to reports, Hill hasn’t paid rent in a month and now she’s facing eviction.

The mother of six was scheduled to appear in tenancy court, ironically, on tax day (April 15). She has been renting a mansion in South Orange, New Jersey, since 2009.

She’s also scheduled to be sentenced for tax evasion next week. She claims that threats on her family contributed to why she disregarded Uncle Sam.

The 37-year-old has asked a judge for leniency in hopes of staying out of jail.

A major South Korean broadcaster says it has banned PSY’s new music video because the rapper is shown abusing public property.

The “Gentleman” video opens with PSY kicking a cone that says “no parking.”

State-funded KBS said Thursday the scene doesn’t meet its standards as a public broadcaster. Two spokesmen say KBS has banned other videos for similar reasons in the past.

They spoke anonymously because they say it is the broadcaster’s company policy.

“Gentleman” was released last week on YouTube as a follow-up to PSY’s viral “Gangnam Style.” It features a fast-paced electro pop song and has surpassed 139 million views.

“Gangnam Style” brought the 35-year-old singer global fame. It is YouTube’s most watched video with 1.5 billion views since its release last summer.

Robin Roberts has been admitted to hospital after falling ill on vacation.

The Good Morning America host, 52, who had a bone marrow transplant last September as treatment for myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), told fans that her ‘young immune system needed a little boost to fight off “opportunistic infections.”‘

In a message on her Facebook page yesterday she said she began feeling ‘under the weather’ during a break in Key West, Florida, so her doctors advised her to return to New York where she could be treated.

‘They felt it best to admit me into the hospital for a few days,’ she wrote. ’My doctors assured me that this was NOT because I was working or doing too much, too soon. It’s extremely common, post bone marrow transplant, to have complications. I’m blessed that mine have not been severe.’

And it seems her actions have paid off: she is already making a speedy recovery, and expects to be back on air next week.

‘I’m feeling MUCH better, and will relax at home for the rest of the week,’ she wrote. ‘I’ll be back on GMA next week . . . as my sweet momma would say: “Good Lord willing and the creek don’t rise!”‘
