Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson Snubbed! No MTV Movie Awards Nomination For Twilight Kiss!

It really is the end, Twihards. Our time has finally come to a close.

Yesterday, the nominations for this year’s MTV Movie Awards were released and for the first time in years, it looks like Twilight won’t be sweeping every category. In fact, with the exception of Taylor Luatner, the movie nor its stars, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, were nominated AT ALL!

So, what gives? Did the fans just give up on them? All the movies are out on DVD and suddenly, no one cares about Bella and her vamp Eddie anymore?! At LEAST we thought they would get a nom for Best Kiss and bring home that golden popcorn for the fifth straight year.

Ah, but there is the rub friends as sources reveal that they may have been intentionally excluded from the running to avoid a very awkward situation. An insider reveals:

“With the relationship between Kristen and Rob so strained, the people who make the decisions on nominations found it to be very awkward if they had them nominated, because if they won, then it would really put the show in a bad spot when one of them wouldn’t show up to the show … They were told the chances of getting most of the talent would be difficult since Summit doesn’t run their schedules anymore. Everyone wants to move on”

Really? Everyone? Even the fans? Because we’re pretty sure they are hanging on for dear life…. And they were REALLY hoping that this would be the year the two of them would finally lock lips on stage.

Alas, that just won’t be the case, will it? Besides, even if they were nominated, who knows if they would’ve even shown up. Rob is filming The Rover and Kristen … is out partying with all of their mutual friends? But hey, maybe Taylor will bring her as his date!
