Quvenzhane Wallis, 9, Cheers For Herself At The Oscars
Quvenzhane acted her age and looked carefree as she cheered herself on after her Best Actress nomination was shown on February 24 during the 2013 Oscars!
At only 9 years old, Quavenzhane Wallis is the youngest to ever be nominated for the Best Actress award at the Oscars, but that doesn’t mean she planned on acting older than her age! She knows she is young, and she was all smiles as she watched her nomination video show across the screen at the Oscars. Her response to the video? Lifting up her arms and cheering herself on!
Dressed for the occasion, Quvenzhane wore a beautiful navy Armani gown, which she chose because of all the glitter and sparkles! No Oscars look is complete without the accessories, and Quvenzhane wasn’t about to forget that. She stepped out with one of her signature purses — a Poochie & Co puppy purse! Just another way to show the world how young she is and just how cute she is!
Quvenzhane To Star in ‘Annie’ Remake
Tough, cute and young. This time we’re describing the new character Quvenzhane has just signed on to play! She will star as Annie in the remake of the musical movie of the same name. People involved in the film, which will be produced by Will Smith 44, and Jada Pinkett Smith , 41, have nothing but kind words about the young starlet.
“Quvenzhané Wallis is a true star and we believe her portrayal as Annie will make her a true worldwide star,” president of Production for Columbia Pictures Hannah Minghella said in a statement on Feb. 24.
With an Oscars nom under her belt and a great attitude, Quvenzhane isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. She just got her foot in the industry and she is excited to show more of her acting skills, as well as her dancing and singing talent!
